When it comes to make-up I’m usually a creature of a habit, rarely mixing things up. However, if there is one thing to ensure my make-up bag gets a little shake up it’s the start of a new season. You may remember Sami’s post on her Summer Make-up bag, and I can’t quite believe it’s now time for my Autumn offering. I’ve kept my products quite basic and easy to work with, as having a full time job leaves little room for overly experimental looks everyday, so here is whats taken pride of place in my make-up bag this season…
When it comes to hair, I like laid back styles more than anything. When I decide to be a little more adventurous and dig out my curlers it usually ends up in a huge curly disaster. Having naturally wavy hair, the waves aren’t too hard to achieve but quite often they have a mind of their own and end up in a big mess of frizz! I came across The Enrapture Amplify Jumbo Waver* a while back which takes away all the effort and time it takes to create a gorgeous wavy look which can be achieved in approx. 5-10 minutes, which is impressive for my extremely thick hair!
It’s the end of our London Fashion Week coverage but we’ve saved a great one for last, Tata Naka. This playful collection by the twin sister duo features pastel garments with a 1950s housewife influence. I especially loved the pool party theme. The make up is kept simple with a focus on the bright lipstick with blondes wearing bright pink and brunettes with a darker shade. I especially love the hair which was created by Bill Watson and the TONI&GUY Session team, didn’t they do an amazing job! The hair inspiration was taken from a 1950s American power-hair look, similar to the hairstyles you’d see on the show Mad Men. The models were given an individual look based on their hair colour, much like the make up mentioned previously.
As we approach the midway point of fashions biggest week there’s no end to the jaw dropping designs and styling hitting the runways of London, and here at Beauty Aesthetic we are still loving reporting back to you guys everyday with some of our favourites!
The SS13 Collection by Phoebe English features black and white garments with a mix of oversized silhouettes and clever geometric shapes. The collection is very dark and intense which is a big contrast from the majority of Spring/Summer designs I’ve seen so far.
