If you haven’t already noticed things have most definitely took a festive turn here on Beauty Aesthetic. We kicked things off with our Men’s Gift Guide and yesterday saw us swooning over some great Bath and Body picks. Today things are getting hairy and we are serving up some lovely haircare offerings to suit all tresses and budgets.
It’s that time again where all the bloggers share their favourites of the month. This month I’ve been embracing all things Autumnal, the berry toned lipsticks, spicy candles and all the hot chocolate I can get my hands on.
It’s safe to say I’ve tried quite a lot of different shampoos and conditioners this year. I always feel like I’ve never quite found the best shampoo yet so I always change it up when I’m feeling like trying something new. While I’m usually quite good at keeping my skincare and makeup to the minimum, I have been known to have around 20 shampoos/conditioners in my bathroom at one time, I wish I was kidding! Though not entirely my fault as my mum brings back around 5 bottles when one runs out so there’s definitely an enabler in the family. The newest addition to the haircare family is the TOMMYGUNS Blueberry & Ginseng Shampoo and Conditioner Combo* which provides volume and thickness to your hair.
When it comes to hair styling, I usually opt for a more texturised look. Perhaps it’s because hair styling takes such a long time and it’s quicker to pull off a messy hair look but every now and then I will make the effort and reach for my shiny hair products for a lovely glossy finish. Before I started blogging I was always a bit scared to put products into my hair after washing. I think in particular with shiny hair products the amount you use can either make or break your look but I feel like I’ve finally found a great mix of lightweight shine products which should be safe to use, even if you go a little heavy handed with them.
I’m one of those unlucky people who have to wash their hair everyday. Over the years I’ve tried to extend the time between washes, trying new products and a mix of dry shampoos but nothing puts me in a bad mood more than unclean hair. I simply can’t do it. It also doesn’t help the fact that if I leave my hair to dry naturally, it ends up in a big ball of frizz. Sadly my hair does go through a lot on a daily basis. To counteract all the damage, I’ve recently been looking into haircare products of the organic/sulfate-free variety to see if any products might be able to make my hair last longer or become less damaged and I’ve found just the thing I’ve been looking for. It doesn’t come cheap, but the Rahua Rainforest Grown Shampoo* certainly does the job.
