Your Questions Answered

While Lisa is currently in Nottingham and I’m (Sami) in the middle of redecorating my room we thought we’d do one of our Q&A posts in the meantime. We’ve had a lot of questions recently and here are some which we’ve featured today, we hope you enjoy!

There are a ton of eye primers you can use to make eye makeup last longer, my favourite is the Urban Decay Primer Potion. As for eyeliner, I find that gel eyeliner lasts a lot longer than other types. If you put a little bit of eyeshadow over the eyeliner and it should last a lot longer too.

We both have very thick hair but you could maybe try some styling products which add more texture/volume to your hair to make styling a lot easier. Something like OSIS dust it or KMS California Hairstay Style Boost are great for this purpose. I tend to skip on conditioner as it weighs my hair down a lot so you could try skip the conditioner and see if it makes any difference to your hair too.

I don’t really believe in all of the nail biting remedies so I won’t recommend you those types of products. I think what worked for me is that when you find that you want to bite your nails, try do something else instead to replace the need, like painting your nails. You may end up with a large nail polish collection mind you, but just think how pretty they would be if you stopped! It does take some time to kick the habit but you’ll get there!

If only it were that simple! There are a few sprays you can get specifically for bacne, Clinique used to do one but discontinued it. I think you can get one from Neutrogena but I’m not sure. As for scarring, I find using this Macadamia Oil helped so much with my scarring, I’d really recommend it!

Thank you! Definitely stock up on a good moisturiser, I’ve been loving the La Roche-Posay Effaclar moisturisers at the moment. To brighten up the skin you could mix a little bit of a liquid highlighter in with foundation or apply a little bit of powdered highlighter on the top of your cheekbones for a lovely glow. I haven’t really came across products in the drugstore in the UK but you might have more luck where you are from if it’s outside of it. You can get MAC Strobe cream in a travel size for quite cheap which would definitely give you a lovely glow, the stuff lasts forever too!

Some makeup counters do give our free samples if you ask nicely but there are a ton of websites which list all the brands/websites offering free samples via their website. If you type in “Freebies” followed by UK or US etc depending where you’re from there should be lots of websites like this. Magicfreebiesuk.co.uk is a good example!
We hope you enjoyed our Q&A post, please feel free to leave us any questions you have through our ASK feature and we’ll try our best to answer them!
