When it comes to haircare, we both have very different hair issues. While Sami has to deal with hair becoming too greasy to quickly, Lisa can put a ton of Moroccan Oil into her hair and it still won’t feel greasy! So if we’re ever sent some haircare products, this is where having two bloggers for Beauty Aesthetic comes in handy, because we can tell you what we each thought of the products and how they benefitted our individual hair issues and things which may not have worked as well. So then we can come to a conclusion on which hair type is better suited for the product.
We were kindly sent the label.m Therapy Age-Defying Range* which includes a shampoo, conditioner, a recovery mask and a protein serum.

Lets see if the claims are true..
Hair Type: Curly/Dry
Coloured: I have never dyed or used any colouring products on my hair.
Heat Products: I like to experiment with different heat tools, my daily ones would be a hair dryer or straighteners.
I’m one of those shallow people who get all sucked in by packaging, therefore this shocking purple range caught my eye straight away, I thought it looked very sleek and shiny adorning my shower shelf.
The products themselves seemed to promise quite a bold result so I was really excited to try them out, the first thing i noticed was the smell, in a word? A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. It is quite a unique scent that clings to your hair for days, which I love, kinda giving it that smug “I’ve just been to the salon” smell.
The shampoo and conditioner were lovely, however, I have the thickest hair in the world so I did need to use quite a few pumps of the shampoo to get any sort of lather, but apart from that my hair was left feeling super soft and super shiny. My only little negative would be that perhaps it left my hair too clean? Ridiculous I know, but due to my coarse curly hair If its left too soft and clean it is a NIGHTMARE to style so if I were going straight out after washing my hair I’d definitely need to maybe use something else, but for washing it at night and styling it on the 2nd day its lovely.
The mask worked wonders for my thirsty ends, I noticed the difference this made to my hair when it was still wet! I’ve really experimented with hair masks as I do have quite dry hair and this is honestly the best I’ve tried. I’m sad to say Sami is getting to keep this one ha ha!
My favourite favourite favourite product is the serum. I am a total serum junkie, you name it I’ve tried it and this one is sheer genius! It spreads that salon fresh scent from root to tip and injects my hair with an amazing wave of moisture and shine. This buddied up with half a pump of my beloved Moroccan Oil makes for blow-drying heaven. If you were to buy anything from the range I would say get this, as it really does work wonders.
Hair Type: Normal/Oily
Coloured: I’ve been colouring my hair since I was about 12
Heat Products: Hairdryer, haven’t used straighteners in 1-2 years, my fringe has never been straightened in about 4-5 years
Packaging isn’t the most important factor but it is a bonus and it will influence your choice of purchase no matter what. The packaging is a lovely purple colour which I haven’t seen any other brand use so it is an interesting choice. There were some tiny cracks in the packaging though so I’d say be careful not to drop the products or the lids may crack a bit.
I agree with Lisa that the scent is lovely and rich but not too overpowering. I was a little concerned about the scent before trying because it does contain caviar extracts so I wasn’t sure if that would be an appealing scent, but thankfully it isn’t too bad!
I’m very specific and picky with my shampoo, it has to be not too thick and fairly easy to wash out and this applied very well. I usually skip using conditioner because it weighs down my hair, takes away it’s volume and it just takes too long to wash and dry it (especially if I’m in a rush to get ready!) but for the sake of this review I tried it and it made my hair feel lovely and soft without weighing down my hair.
As for the serum, I’m always so weary about applying products after I’ve washed my hair. If I use a tiny bit over a small amount it becomes greasy and all that shampooing is wasted. Having said that, I loved the serum. It was great to tackle the slight frizz in my hair and I received a lot of compliments of shiny hair after using it.
My favourite product was the hair mask. I did feel like I had to apply a lot of the product on my hair (although one hairdresser said I did have the most hair on my head she’d ever seen!) but it did wonders for my dry ends! I’m excited to get this one back home from Lisa to use more.
We hope you enjoyed this review!
